Franck imprime \u00e0 ses Gymnostiques une forme d&rsquo;ironie noble, tranquille, planante, qui braque de mani\u00e8re subtile les projecteurs sur leurs variations d\u2019humeur et de caract\u00e8re. However, he has drawn inspiration from a wealth of influences, transcending eras and musical boundaries, beyond the reference to the Gymnop\u00e9dies. Franck imbues his Gymnostiques with a kind of noble, tranquil, ethereal irony that subtly shines a spotlight on their variations in mood and character. Not ancient, but decidedly contemporary!
